Apgar Maternity Hospital is a brain child of inspired, dedicated local health care workers that were concerned about maternal health care delivery in Namibia. The project is one of its kind that focuses on exclusive maternal healthcare delivery. The aim is to augment patient-centered care to families, join other health captains of the industry, economic empowerment and contribute towards the overall global efforts to decrease maternal/neonatal mortalities. 

One of the priorities of the hospital is to work towards the accreditation of the hospital as a training hospital, to contribute towards the global efforts in the decrease of the maternal and neonatal mortality rates.
